One YogaFest Raleigh Session Remains
We have greatly enjoyed our outdoor sessions at City Plaza and indoors at The Stockroom at 230 Fayetteville Street (see video). And, check out the group effort from the September 17 YogaFest Raleigh with Carrington Razook of blue lotus. Plan to join us for our finale and Roxane Banville of Passport to Prana.

Intern Highlight: How Jamilah Joined YCTY
My You Call This Yoga journey began by flipping thru the TV channels, one night, and coming across this guy, who I now know as Howie Shareff sitting in a chair doing yoga. The video could not have come at a better time. The room I was watching TV in had limited space, the idea of sitting in a chair was perfect! at the end of the video I felt as I always have following a gentle yoga class, relaxed! From there I went to the website to search for more. The best thing about You Call This Yoga was all the classes were FREE! which was great because I just had a baby and couldn't afford much outside of the essentials. The other great thing was Yoga Fest. Because it was an outside event I was able to bring my baby Mya, which provided us with some essential breeze and sun soaking "mommie daughter time." Since then I volunteer my time to help You Call This Yoga expand.
I chose to volunteer with You Call This Yoga because I felt giving back thru service was something constructive I could do to repay the continuously free yoga service given to me by Howie. Since my service time began I have assisted YCTY reach the community through research of various churches, and community wellness organizations in the area, as well as assisting with the attendance of YogaFest Raleigh attendees. Daily I am spreading information about this great program through community outreach.
